Lab: Dr. Laura Schreibman’s Autism Research Lab
Description: In this research assistant position you will learn
a lot about children who have autism, gain experience conducting graduate
level research, and likely have a chance to work with autistic children.
You may also have the chance to take Dr. Schreibman’s select Psych
109 class in the Spring, Applied Behavioral Analysis with the Lab attachment.
Last interview is Wednesday, December 10th at 1:30 pm in
McGill Hall 1330. Please bring your winter quarter schedule. We look forward
to meeting eager participants!
Prerequisites:
-enthusiasm
-at least junior standing
-min 3.0 GPA
-2-quarter commitment (Winter and Spring ’09)
- 12 hrs/week
- prefer those with computer knowledge, experience with children, and a
flexible schedule
-prefer completion of one or more of the following courses: Psyc 103 (Principles
of Learning), Psyc 120 or 121 (Operant Lab), Psyc 154 (Behavior Modification),
Psyc 163 (Abnormal Psychology), Psyc 168 (Developmental Disorders).

Lab: Perception and Cognition Lab
Description: We study how prior knowledge, rewards, and
expectations influence human visual perception and decision making. We use
behavioral, computational, and neuroimaging (e.g. fMRI) methods to address
these questions. We have lots of projects ready to go, so please contact
us if you're interested! Great experience for students interested in graduate
