Lab: Developmental Electrophysiology Laboratory at the
Project in Cognitive and Neural Development
Description: We are currently seeking 199 students majoring
in the fields of Cognitive Science, Human Development, Neuroscience, or
Psychology for an internship position at our Electroencephalography (EEG)
Event Related Potential (ERP) laboratory. Currently, our main research interests
include: Visual, auditory, and attentional processing in the brain, testing
both normally developing and neurologically impaired populations (autism,
focal lesions, cystinosis, Williams syndrome, language impaired).

Lab: The Rayner Eye Tracking Lab
Description: We study cognitive psychology (reading, language
production, scene perception and more) using state of the art eye tracking
methodologies. You will work closely with a graduate student or a Post-doc
in developing stimuli, running subjects and processing data. We also have
weekly lab meetings where we read and discuss (short) articles. If you are
interested in going to graduate school and want to see what research is
all about this is a great opportunity!

Prerequisites:
-Sophomore standing or above
-a GPA of at least 3.0
-Interest in experimental research
-fairly flexible hours
-we would also prefer that you have taken a course in cognitivep sychology
and/or have an interest in the study of language and/or cognition.
-6 hr/wk for 2 course credits or 12 hr/wk for 4 course credits; Also if
you stay with the lab there is the opportunity to continue to work over
the summer for pay

Lab: Dr. Victor Ferreira's Language Production Laboratory
Description: The primary research focus of the LPL is human
language production behavior. We look at how language users form sentences
and produce words, and how that behavior leads to successful communication.
Research in the lab also involves simulation or connectionist modeling,
directly or indirectly related to the lab's empirical work. For more information,

with various stages of putting together experiments, running subjects in
language experiments, transcribing/coding data, attending
lab meetings, etc.
Requirements: Junior or Senior standing, 2 quarter commitment,
Minimum 3.0 GPA
