Lab: Dr. Ursula Bellugi’s Laboratory for Cognitive
Neuroscience at the Salk Institute
Description: The LCN is investigating the genetic bases
of brain structure, and the neural correlates underlying cognition and social
behavior, through studies of individuals with Williams syndrome. Visit <http://www.lcn.salk.edu>

coding, scoring, and entering data, attending lab meetings, observing and

Requirements:
- Junior or Senior standing

Lab: Sleep Deprivation, Decision Making, and Functional
Brain Imaging
Description:
1. Administer decision making tasks during day and during sleep deprivation
studies
2. Format, store, manage, and analyze testing data
3. Assist in collecting functional brain imaging data
4. Administer questionaires and other cognitive tasks to subjects
5. Other opportunities exist as interest and ability dictates

* Learn to administer tests, basics of software like SPSS, research methods
in functional brian imaging, data management/analysis and more.
* Potentional opportunity to analyze functional brain imaging data, learning
to read and score records, interview participants, publication, etc.
Requirements:
- 1 year minimum commitment
- 10 hrs/wk (including 1 overnight shift per quarter during sleep deprivation
studies)
- 3.5 or better GPA overall
- B grade or better in Statistics
- Prior R.A. experience is not necessary

Lab: Harris Lab
Description: Social psychology lab, involving studies on
emotion.
Duties: Running subjects, data entry, and reading background articles.
Requirements:
* 12hr/wk
* Interested in research, highly motivated, strong work ethic
* Have taken Psych 153 or any Harris course.
* GPA at least 3.0
* Junior Status (preferred, but not mandatory)
